Putting together a successful team is more challenging than finding the best individual, as you need to consider how the team works together and what the goals of the project are. Here are some areas that you will need to address for developing a successful team:
Availability – Is the person available part-time, full-time or for a limited period? How will that fit into your project? You will need to have the same people for the entire time of the project.
Experience – Utilise people that have worked on similar projects before and ask them to share their experiences.
Expertise – Does the person have expertise in this particular field? Is their training relevant for the project at hand?
Technical abilities – Ensure that team members have experience using the technical software that you will be using. Or if they don’t have this experience are they able to learn new technical software?
Collaboration – Are the team members able to communicate effectively with each other and share information? You will want a team that can achieve goals through effective communication.
